The Ministry of Defence has issued a set of guidelines related to the implementation of the programme aimed at empowering communities affected by disasters.
In a statement, the Ministry of Defence said the guidelines have received the concurrence of the Ministry of Finance and Planning and the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government.
Accordingly, the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence has formally issued the guidelines to District Secretaries and Divisional Secretaries, outlining procedures for the distribution of disaster relief funds to affected communities.
The guidelines clearly define the roles and responsibilities of all parties involved in the provision of relief, ensuring accountability and efficient coordination.
They also include details on approved allowances, types of relief, and eligibility criteria, aimed at ensuring fair and transparent assistance to disaster-affected individuals and families.
