Under the revised fee structure, the previous charge of Rs. 2,000 for issuing a temporary one-month driving licence to a foreign national has been increased to Rs. 15,000.

The fee for renewing a foreign national’s driving licence has been set at Rs. 15,000, while the same amount will be charged for issuing a duplicate licence in cases where the original is lost or damaged.

  • Foreign nationals with a foreign licence: Fee increased from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 60,000 for issuing a new Sri Lankan driving licence.
