Another 691 Individuals Arrested in Special Police Raids

A total of 691 people were arrested yesterday (11) during a special island-wide operation targeting criminal activities, illicit liquor, and drug-related offences, the Police Media Division announced.

As part of the operation, police inspected 24,175 individuals. Among those arrested, 25 were identified as being directly linked to criminal activities, while 375 suspects with outstanding warrants were taken into custody.

The operation also led to the arrest of 73 drunk drivers, 17 reckless drivers, and the identification of 3,427 individuals for various other traffic violations.

Police said these island-wide operations aim to apprehend drug traffickers operating on small, medium, and large scales, individuals engaged in criminal activities, and those in possession of illegal firearms.
